Who knows a kid that loves Minions? That's what I thought- everyone. We had a very sweet boy's birthday party last week and I knew exactly what to get him: Minions galore. I was shopping at Walmart and came across these Minion Hallmark cards. Can you stand how cute they are? I want one for myself! They're very bright and colorful, which kids of all age love. They also come with adorable plush keychains. I grabbed a whole bunch for future birthday parties. And one for Hudson of course. I can't get anything without Minions on it without including him, because he is obsessed.
If you're at Walmart, you can find these Minion cards at the end cap of the Hallmark aisle and in the middle of the Hallmark birthday card aisle. Don't worry, they're very easy to spot. I also picked up some ribbon, a gift card, and the makings for some delicious cupcakes.
The cupcakes were very simple to make- I baked mini vanilla cupcakes with lemon frosting. I then used candy eyes and black icing to decorate the cupcakes to look like Minions. Every other cupcake I decorated with bright sprinkles. They turned out SO cute and the kids loved them!
I wrote a sweet note in the card, added the gift card, tied everything to the cupcake carrier with ribbon and BOOM- a cute and easy gift! I'll be honest though, the birthday boy was most excited about the Minion plush keychain. As was Hudson, who stole a card and cupcake before I could even give them to him. He's saying "MINION" in this picture. Who else is so excited for this movie to come out?
