I absolutely love sharing our favorite books with ya'll! Especially when they're both fun and educational like this new book from The Mother Co.: When Lyla Got Lost. If you've never heard of The Mother Co., you need to check them out ASAP. It's a website full of references and expert tips for parents. One of my favorite articles on TMC is Safety Sense for Parent's and Kids. It discusses when you should begin teaching your child about "Stranger Danger" and how you can go about doing so.
The Mother Co. also makes educational books and DVDs for kids! This is their newest book in the Safety Series- When Lyla Got Lost. It's a about a little girl, Lyla, who gets separated from her mother in a store. Then it lists outs the steps she took to find her mother again. It reiterates these steps at the end of the book, to help your child learn and retain. I know one of my biggest fears is losing Hudson, so having a book teach him how to find me again is so special to me. You can tell by his smile that he enjoys reading it as well!
