1. Comfort is so key! The clothes can look great, but if they're not comfortable what's the point? My favorite comfy and fashionable brands are: Little Cocoa Bean, Carly Megan Clothing, Susie's Custom Jeans, and Prefresh.
2. Color, color color. You'll need pops of it to make a statement. Using contrasting colors and/or patterns is totally a-ok. Bright shoes, statement hats, and fun accessories. The best brand for accessories and hats? Beau Hudson.
3. Work with your child's personality! Hudson is a wild little man. I tend towards bright colors and funky patterns to compliment his attitude.
4. It's ok to splurge now and again. I hear husbands the world over groaning on this one. But yes, a high end piece can really compliment an outfit. I buy a couple pieces of Mini Rodini and Bobo each year, as well as some great shoes (Zuzii and Saltwater). He may grow out of them, but they have great resale value! I normally shop Baby Go Green for all my designer wants ;)
